The Chief of Staff is a strategic and operational leader, supporting the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in driving company-wide planning, cross-functional coordination, and executive-level initiatives. This role focuses on adding structure, managing processes, and ensuring alignment across teams to achieve company goals. The Chief of Staff will also act as a key representative for the COO, guiding informed decisions, writing on their behalf, and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead annual and quarterly planning, ensuring all teams are aligned with strategic goals.
- Track and monitor goals/roadmaps to ensure alignment with Uniswap mission & strategy.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination, resolving dependencies and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with department heads to drive execution and accountability.
- Be a positive force for operational excellence, improving company and cross-functional velocity through collaboration, communication and process
Executive Support & Communication
- Prepare the COO for policy and business development meetings, offering market and partner context, data + insights and key talking points.
- Represent the COO in meetings, ensuring their voice and perspective are accurately reflected.
- Draft communications and documents on behalf of the COO, maintaining consistency in tone and messaging.
- Support the COO in making real-time decisions to move projects forward efficiently.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Project Management
- Act as a trusted partner across teams, building influence and trust through transparency, integrity, and reliability, and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Serve as a neutral facilitator in discussions, ensuring balanced input and clear outcomes.
- Set up, structure, and drive new commercial projects from conception to handoff or completion, such as new products or partnerships, with internal teams until realization or stead
- Make informed, real-time decisions to address challenges and keep projects on track, tactfully adjust strategies as needed to meet evolving business needs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in operations, strategy, business development or a similar role, preferably in a high-growth environment.
- Strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and managing company-wide planning.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write and represent executive leadership effectively.
- Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to facilitate discussions and build consensus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Minimum full-time salary of $230,000 - $255,000. Disclosure in accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law. Full Time employees at Uniswap Labs are also eligible for other compensation elements, including equity, tokens, and benefits, dependent on the position type.
Uniswap Labs' Full-Time employee benefits include company-paid medical, dental, & vision for you and your dependents, gym subsidy, 401(k) with 4% employer contribution, annual $1,500 education stipend, unlimited and encouraged time off, up to 16 weeks paid parental leave, home office setup stipend for remote employees and daily lunches at NY headquarters (all benefits are subject to applicable taxes and based on eligibility).
