Air Abatement System Designer/Modeler

United Integrated Services (USA) is looking for an AAS Designer/Modeler to join our team!
The AAS (Air Abatement System) Designer will be responsible for the 3D modeling of our AAS system in the cleanroom. You will work closely with our lead architect and engineers to develop design documents and create digital 3D models based on project needs. The ideal candidate is experienced in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), and HVAC and exhaust design, in a commercial construction environment using Revit and Navisworks.

** This is a full time onsite position located in North Phoenix, AZ (85027).**
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Interpret and understand architectural and structural drawings and details for the Air Abatement System team.
- Produce new drawings or edit existing prints based on system department needs and directions.
- Perform requirements classification of clients, communicating project requirements and design review with internal & external design team for Air Abatement System (AAS), such as, process exhaust duct, scrubber for waste air treatment, and dosing chemical.
- Coordinate and monitor shop drawing submission schedule.
- Demonstrate understanding of accurate drafting methods, layering, X-References, dimensioning, model space/paper space, viewports, and scaling.
- Ability to use REVIT and Navisworks to develop and monitor designs relevant to the Air Abatement System.
- Monitor and detect clashes within drawings, using Navisworks.
- Update models to reflect as-built conditions.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Virtual Design & Construction, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience, preferably in industrial construction projects.
Skills and Competencies:

- Strong understanding of Air Abatement System (AAS) design.
- Proficiency in REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and employees.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
Language Proficiency:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin, preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for transporting documents, equipment, and other materials as needed. The role involves extended periods of sitting while working at a computer, as well as standing and walking. Frequent movement between the construction trailer and various areas of the construction site is necessary.
The position is based at the construction job site (trailer office). Even though the exposure of hazardous work conditions would be minimal, the employee may be required to visit the work area of the jobsite and thus be exposed to some typical work hazards that may be present on a construction site, such as dust, moving machineries, weather, caustic chemicals, noise etc. UIS would provide the required safety protection to ensure the safety of UIS employees and comply with all OSHA standards.
