
Cleanroom Technician
United Integrated Services (USA) Corp. was founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 2020. UIS is a U.S. subsidiary of United Integrated Services Co., Ltd. (UIS Taiwan) which was founded in Taiwan in 1982. UIS is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company. We provide fully integrated design-build services to our clients in the high-technology industry for their manufacturing facility needs. Our scope of services includes engineering design, high-tech factory planning, and on-time equipment and material delivery in which clean-room systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and tool hook-up, are all vital parts in need of total coordination.
Summary: We are searching for a Cleanroom Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for hole penetration and part of the deep cleaning project in a cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with semiconductor production regulations and standards. Experience in Cleanroom construction is highly desired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain clean room cleanliness and ensure adherence to contamination control standards.
- Operate and monitor clean room equipment (e.g., particle counters, air filtration systems) to maintain environmental conditions.
- Safely handle semiconductor materials and chemicals, ensuring they meet cleanliness and quality standards.
- Monitor temperature, humidity, and particulate levels to maintain optimal clean room conditions.
- Adhere to contamination control procedures, including proper gowning and decontamination processes.
- Conduct hole penetration testing and inspections.
- Document clean room inspections, equipment maintenance, and contamination incidents accurately.
- Assist in the setup and operation of semiconductor fabrication equipment for various production steps.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process irregularities to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards within the clean room environment.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Cleanroom Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant construction or cleanroom experience. Semiconductor construction, a plus.
- Familiarity with structural drawings, MEP layouts, and cleanroom protocols.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Cleanroom construction processes.
- Knowledge of safety standards and permit systems in large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; BIM experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
Language Proficiency:
- Effective English verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Taiwanese is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for transporting documents, equipment, and other materials as needed. The role involves extended periods of sitting while working at a computer, as well as standing and walking. Frequent movement between the construction trailer and various areas of the construction site is necessary.
The position is based at the construction job site (trailer office). Even though the exposure of hazardous work conditions would be minimal, the employee may be required to visit the work area of the jobsite and thus be exposed to some typical work hazards that may be present on a construction site, such as dust, moving machineries, weather, caustic chemicals, noise etc. UIS would provide the required safety protection to ensure the safety of UIS employees and comply with all OSHA standards.
