Producer
Who We Are
We are an award-winning independent creative solutions company that aspires to be the most culturally-influential company in the world. We help ambitious brands harness the power of culture to solve their biggest challenges. As a unique mix of experts in culture, technology, and storytelling, we are united by a passion to grow brands in ways that advertising alone can never do.
We are an entrepreneurial business – not a traditional “ad agency.” That means we value resourcefulness and tenacity just as much as we value creativity and intelligence. We’re unapologetically ambitious!
We are looking for a Producer to join Translation’s McDonald’s team!
This role is based in Brooklyn, New York with four days in-office and one day remote.
What You'll Do
At Translation, Producers are vital to bringing culture-shaping work to life. As a Producer on the McDonald’s account, you’ll manage and execute a variety of content-driven campaigns, serving as both a creative problem solver and logistical expert. You’ll support creative excellence while delivering on time and on budget—ensuring each production runs smoothly from pre-pro to final wrap.
- Represent Translation in McDonald’s Integrated Agency Team (IAT) and collaborate with all IAT agency producers to execute Tier 2 and Tier 3 work; whether that be unique adaptations or direct adaptations of the general market campaign.
- Lead small-to-mid-sized campaigns and independently manage all phases of production with oversight as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with all departments to ensure the best creative solutions align with production realities.
- Build and manage detailed production calendars, track timelines, and coordinate key milestones from concept through delivery.
- Maintain control of the production budget, with responsibility for estimates, reconciliations, and wrap documentation.
- Support the evaluation of concepts and ideas to assess feasibility and recommend production approaches.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and partners to bring the strongest creative teams to the table.
- Manage productions with attention to quality, efficiency, and creative alignment.
- Ensure projects adhere to financial policies and wrap procedures.
- Champion inclusive production practices by proactively identifying and supporting underrepresented creators and collaborators.
- Travel for production and attend post sessions as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Translating high-level creative concepts into tangible, impactful results.
- Proven ability to independently manage campaigns of varying scale and complexity.
- Consistently earn the trust of internal teams, vendors, and clients through clear communication and follow-through.
- Confidence in presenting and discussing production approaches, costs, and challenges.
- Ability to think quickly, adapt under pressure, and solve problems on the fly.
- Familiarity with union and non-union production, including SAG and non-SAG talent.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with precision in budgeting and scheduling.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and aligned with the agency’s mission and values.
- Passionate about elevating culture, embracing innovation, and bringing diverse voices into the work.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in production, preferably at a creative or culture-focused agency.
- A portfolio of work that includes both small and mid-sized productions demonstrating increasing responsibility and ownership.
