Responsibilities

 

The Marketing Content Writer is an integral member of the marketing team responsible for creating, proofreading, and optimizing engaging marketing content for both print and digital channels. Primary focus will be developing high-quality content that drives leads, engagement, and brand awareness. Strong writing, grammar, punctuation, and SEO skills are essential, and a background in healthcare or life sciences is highly preferred.

  • Content Creation: Write clear, compelling, and accurate content for various platforms including sponsored content, articles showcasing physician expertise and patient testimonials, website pages, business development initiatives, email campaigns, patient facing communications, and more.
  • Research & Analysis: Research, synthesize, and analyze reputable sources on vein and vascular care, to in turn create digestible content for both patient and physician facing audiences.
  • Editing & Proofreading: Review and refine content to ensure it is error-free, grammatically correct, aligns with brand tone and voice, and meets the highest quality standards.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams and executive stakeholders to align content with broader campaigns and organizational goals. Interview stakeholders to develop educational and promotional content.
  • Healthcare Focus: Develop content tailored to healthcare professionals, patients, and stakeholders, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to industry guidelines.
  • Content Strategy: Contribute ideas for content topics and campaigns based on industry trends, audience insights, and business priorities.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve content effectiveness and relevance.
  • Project Management: Organize and prioritize multiple projects, devising a schedule of work to meet deadlines and ensure the timely completion of all content-related tasks.
  • Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all content adheres to regulatory and legal guidelines relevant to the healthcare industry.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support broader marketing and communications objectives.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field Exceptional writing, editing, grammatical, and proofreading skills.
  • 5+ consecutive years of experience in content writing, marketing, or related roles. Experience in healthcare or life sciences is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in the AP style of writing.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, principles, and best practices.
  • Ability to write for diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical readers.
  • Skilled in working closely with other departments to create aligned, mission-focused content that supports organizational goals and brand messaging.
  • Experience writing for regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and industry practices is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Highly dependable and proactive; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards for the role.
