This role serves as the bridge between FP&A, Accounting, and RCM to ensure revenue is accurately reflected in monthly financials, forecasts, and board reporting. The ideal candidate combines financial rigor, healthcare revenue cycle understanding, and strong data modeling skills to drive accuracy and transparency in revenue reporting.

Revenue Accrual & Forecasting

  • Own the monthly accrual revenue model used for management reporting and forecasting.
  • Partner with Accounting to align accrual entries with GAAP, ensuring FP&A and Accounting are working from a consistent revenue baseline.
  • Build and maintain detailed revenue models incorporating charge lag, payer mix, fee schedules, collections patterns, and AR tail assumptions.
  • Update and refine assumptions monthly based on actual performance and RCM metrics.
  • Deliver accrual revenue reporting and commentary as part of the monthly operating review (MOR) and board deck.

Analytics & Insights

  • Develop variance analyses comparing accruals to collections and identify trends in revenue realization, payer performance, and operational drivers.
  • Create reports and visualizations that track revenue accrual accuracy and highlight emerging risks or opportunities.
  • Collaborate with RCM and BI to ensure data integrity and automation across data sources.
  • Provide insights to support strategic decisions, including physician compensation modeling, clinic performance evaluation, and new site ramp assumptions.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with RCM to understand billing and collections trends and their impact on accrual timing.
  • Partner with Accounting during close to ensure all accrual assumptions are validated and journal entries align with management reporting.
  • Support FP&A in preparing revenue forecasts, budget assumptions, and PTV/ROI models.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on revenue estimation methodologies across all business units.

  Process Improvement & Controls

  • Enhance and standardize the revenue accrual methodology to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
  • Document key assumptions, version control, and methodology changes for audit and internal review.
  • Establish clear audit trails and reconciliation steps between FP&A accrual models, Accounting GL entries, and RCM data extracts.

  Other

  • Demonstrate and promote a work culture committed to UVVC’s Core Values: understanding, nurturing, ingenuity, trust, excellence, and diversity.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with UVVC’s Standards of Conduct as outlined in our Employee Handbook.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare financial analytics within an MSO, ASC, or multi-site physician organization.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle dynamics (charges, collections, payer mix, AR aging, denials, and fee schedules).
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills; proficiency in Power BI a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills; capable of managing deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
