About the Role:
The Accounting Manager of Financial Reporting will lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. They will delegate, supervise, and participate in accounting department tasks; oversee the recording, tracking, and reporting of financial information; hire, train, and motivate accounting staff members; develop and implement department controls and procedures; and ensure that the department operates efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. This position reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and is located at our corporate office in Tampa (Carrollwood).
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the accuracy and timely completion of month-end close processes.
Oversee and assist with the daily and monthly activities of the accounting department including cash reconciliations, accrued revenue, accrued commissions, adjusting net fixed assets, inventory valuation, accrued rebates.
• Produce timely financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, Twelve Month Trend Analysis and Comparative Income Statement in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Identify and analyze favorable and unfavorable budget variances before finalizing financials.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and other departments to provide information and insights into monthly reporting presentations.
• Strengthen the internal control structure by developing and enhancing processes in a scalable and efficient manner.
• Assist in managing external financial audits by producing audit workpapers and source documents and completing the open items list supplied by external auditors.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.

Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations. PHI is a top priority of our organization.

Qualifications:
• • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master’s preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.
• Minimum of two years in a national Public Accounting firm. Big 4 a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, xlookup, data filtering) required. A demonstration of Excel proficiency may be requested.
• Prior experience in maintaining ownership of key processes and reconciliations.
• Ability to identify and suggest areas of improvement in existing processes.
• Highly tech literate; able to research issues and propose solutions within the accounting system using tools available.
• Working knowledge of various ERP systems including Oracle/NetSuite, Salesforce, and UKG preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with dedication to driving and achieving results.
• Dependable and eager to learn and grow; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards for the role.
