As a Senior Product Manager for Resources data at Unite Us, you’ll own a critical strategic project to develop an innovative and scalable solution to improve resources data on Unite Us. You’ll partner with the Engineering and Data Science team to support the development of the Resources data product roadmap, manage a team’s agile sprints, and run a tight build-measure-learn development cycle. You’ll partner closely and coordinate with a cross functional team on various projects/processes that you will own to execute on the resources data product goals. You will also help develop, monitor and report on critical project metrics to measure the health and progress of goals you own to senior leadership. .

 

What You'll Do:

  • Work with product leadership to develop a robust product strategy for resources data
  • Develop a 3-6 months roadmap to execute on the strategy and achieve the product goals 
  • Develop a thorough understanding of internal tools and processes to manage resources data and develop key insights on how to improve them. Be the internal bar raiser for the resources data quality and to develop necessary solutions and processes to improve it.
  • Closely collaborate with Engg and Data Science team to brainstorm, analyze, problem solve and develop innovative features & solutions to achieve project strategy.
  • Own and manage product metrics and regularly report out project status to senior leadership
  • Be responsible for certain processes and tools and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to implement and execute on the data strategy to achieve project goals.
  • Partner with other cross functional teams to coordinate various project activities and ensure success of your solutions. 
  • Regularly prioritize, monitor, and track the progress of the team backlog and commitments against targets, communicating this with the team to manage expectations and suggest additional support when needed.
  • Translate the needs of the business to the development and technology organization.  Collaborate with the development team to ensure that epics and stories contain necessary details to enable efficient prioritization, coding, testing, and client validation needs. 
  • Present complex information and ideas through open, transparent communication to engender trust and ensure mutual understanding.
  • Identify and act against any roadblocks, always suggesting solutions to even the most complex issues. 
  • Lead Backlog Grooming and Sprint Planning sessions, while making sure to attend all other agile ceremonies as an active participant.
  • Consistently demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and product proficiency, empowering others in their team to improve performance.
  • Work with implementation, support, and sales teams with client training, client onboarding, user testing, and pilot testing to ensure the organization is prepared for new products/solutions being developed. 
  • Support implementation processes and documentation to communicate and set client expectations and assist with troubleshooting product issues as needed.

 

 

What's Required:

  • 6+ years experience as a Product Manager with experience working in data products.
  • Familiarity with APIs & experience developing/implementing internal features and processes is preferable.
  • Experience working with Data science and familiarity, strong interest or past experience with ML/AI tools is a plus.
  • Communication - Strong persuasion skills and effective communicator; ability to communicate and evangelize a compelling vision internally and externally.  Ability to interface with executives and communicate effectively.
  • Subject Matter Expertise - Knowledge of healthcare industry and care management (DM / CM / medical home) best practices is a plus. 
  • Customer Obsessed - Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of users; Ability to dive into various sources to get customer feedback and use it for improvements in resource data products and services. 
  • Ability to successfully navigate and contribute to a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong data driven decision making skills with the ability to collect, analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights that can guide strategic business decisions
  • Agile - Experience working in or managing Agile teams is a plus.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This position is remote, U.S. based
  • The target pay range for this role is: $135,000 - $150,000. This salary range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed salary will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies, as well as location.
