Title: Research & Evaluation Intern
About The Internship:
As our 2025 Research & Evaluation Intern, you will apply your research, analytical, and project management skills to support our research and evaluation initiatives. Your ability to synthesize complex research findings and communicate insights effectively will help drive our mission to understand the potential impact of social care investments. You will gain hands-on experience conducting literature reviews and data analyses, while contributing to reports and presentations on real-world evaluations, deepening your understanding of social care innovation, health-related social needs, and the methodologies used to assess program effectiveness.
Our 8-week summer internship class runs from June 16, 2025 - August 11, 2025.
What You'll Do:
- Review and interpret scientific literature to build a comprehensive evidence base of health-related social needs and the effectiveness of social care innovation.
- Identify and analyze data from publicly available datasets, generating insights that inform decision-making and industry advancements.
- Create presentations and data visualizations to effectively communicate research findings to internal and external audiences.
- Develop an understanding of research and evaluation methodologies, including data analysis and impact measurement in the social care technology space.
- Participate in regular meetings with the full Unite Us Research and Evaluation team.
You're a great fit for this Internship if:
- You are currently pursuing your Master's in Public Health.
- You can translate existing research into actionable insights and have experience in technical writing and research.
- You are proficient in data manipulation and analysis, with experience in descriptive and applied statistics using R or SAS.
- You are flexible and excited to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs, possessing a self-motivated, 'get it done' mentality and comfort with ambiguity.
- You thrive in a cross-functional environment and enjoy working collaboratively with a diverse team of individuals with different backgrounds and skill sets.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position is remote, U.S. based
- This internship is $20/hour for 35 hours per week
