Install Technician III

Independently install, program, and service access control and IP video surveillance systems according to engineered drawings and technical specifications.

Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure all work meets design requirements, safety codes, and client standards.

Support field implementation by coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams.

Capture and organize detailed photographic documentation of work performed.

Mark up and red-line drawings to reflect actual installed conditions and assist with accurate as-built documentation.

Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs, test results, and service reports.

Track and manage material usage, ensuring proper allocation for each project.

Assist with scheduling and task coordination in collaboration with Project Managers.

Support the evaluation and onboarding of subcontractor partners when required.

Ensure subcontractors comply with insurance and safety requirements, including management of Certificates of Insurance (COIs).

Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment on all job sites.

Participate in internal and onsite meetings to report progress and resolve field issues.

Identify and help resolve on-site challenges impacting productivity or system performance.

Assist in maintaining project budget control through accurate reporting and documentation.

Travel to enterprise client sites up to 50% of the time, sometimes on short notice.

Attend ongoing technical and safety training to stay current with industry best practices and technologies.

Minimum 6+ years of field experience in low-voltage, security system installation, or integration required.

Extensive knowledge of access control platforms such as Software House, Lenel, Genetec, and AMAG with a main focus on Genetec.

Strong experience with IP video systems including Genetec, Exacq, Axis, and American Dynamics with a main focus on Genetec.

Familiarity with installation of door hardware (e.g., electric strikes, magnetic locks) and related components.

Solid understanding of basic networking principles and troubleshooting.

Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications.

Skilled in documenting and red-lining drawings post-installation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management platforms (e.g., ClickUp).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to represent the company professionally on client sites.

High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
