Field Installation Supervisor

The Field Installation Supervisor is responsible for managing their team members assigned for installing, programming, terminating, and commissioning a wide range of access control and video products and systems. The Field Installation Supervisor will also have the same duties as those who report to him/her but will guide and assist the technicians under their supervision and be responsible for reviewing the work as required for each of their reports. As a customer facing employee, the Field Installation Supervisor must be a personable, knowledgeable self-starter who can make sound decisions that are in the best interest of the customer and Unlimited Technology. The Field Installation Supervisor must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work closely with the sales and operations departments. This position will report directly to the Program Manager to which they are assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the direct reports assigned
  • Always maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Ability to work independently, with very little supervision.
  • Demonstrates the ability to supervise and mentor others.
  • Must possess programming skills associated with the UT product line.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed, sometimes on short notice.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve issues that would have a negative impact on job productivity.
  • Be the projects “eyes and ears” for the management team.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment always.
  • Communicate all activity to the job Project Manager or Program Manager in a timely manner.
  • Must be willing to assist the Install team.
  • Ensure all UT and site-specific safety programs are followed.
  • Attend any product or safety training that is required.
  • Complete performance reviews of the team members.
  • Assist Program and Project Managers with weekly and monthly team supervisory duties. IE: Approval of timesheets, expenses, credit card reconciliation and PTO requests.
  • Identify and asses’ strengths, abilities, and weakness of the team.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Mastery of all Level III Install Technician responsibilities.
  • Minimum 5 years of field installation experience in the security environment.
  • Certifications in Software House, AMAG, Genetec, and Lenel are high priority.
  • Demonstrate competencies in IP cameras and systems, such as Axis, Sony, Avigilon, and Exacq.
  • Experienced in the installation of door hardware such as strikes and magnetic locks.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending engineered drawings.
  • Experienced in the marking up, or “red lining” of drawings post install.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer, with MS Word, MS Project, and MS Excel skill sets.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well and interact with other UT employees as well as UT customers.
  • Strong work ethic and teamwork; “can do” attitude and desire to provide best service. Strong interpersonal and communicative Skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter and quick learner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel 50% within the US

 

Pay Range

$90,000 - $110,000 USD
