About the role
The Special Servicing Representative is responsible for executing specialized servicing tasks related to non-performing loans, including bankruptcies, foreclosures, and property tax delinquencies. The role involves managing operational processes, coordinating with legal vendors, conducting research into delinquency issues, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards. This position plays a key role in safeguarding investor interests, maintaining service quality, and supporting ongoing improvements in special servicing operations.
What you'll do
- Oversee the handling of special servicing cases including bankruptcies, foreclosures, and property tax delinquencies.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of complex cases, minimizing financial losses and legal risks.
- Develop and refine workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce resolution times, and improve outcomes.
- Manage relationships with external legal vendors, ensuring quality service and effective collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, to provide updates on special servicing cases and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in special servicing operations.
- Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
- Provide all internal/external customers of Unlock with an excellent service experience.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of experience in special servicing, servicing, asset management, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy, foreclosure, and property tax delinquency processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- PC skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft environment and the ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in a meaningful way.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively partner with leaders across multiple functions.
- Ability to work in a high-growth, dynamic environment.

Target compensation is $83,000 - $85,000 annually (paid hourly). Actual compensation varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
