The Director of Paid Media is responsible for owning and scaling Unlock's paid acquisition channels, including Google, Meta, and additional platforms. This is a high-ownership role that sets channel strategy, manages the paid media budget, and serves as an experienced thought partner across Acquisitions, Marketing, Data, Product, and external partners. The Director of Paid Media plays a critical role in driving acquisition growth as Unlock continues to expand its presence in the Home Equity market.

      • Minimum Qualifications (years of experience, degree, certifications)

        • 10+ years of experience in paid media, performance marketing, or customer acquisition
        • Personally managed $1M+ per month in digital ad spend in a hands-on capacity as well as strategic
        • Deep platform expertise on major performance media channels such as Google, Meta, TikTok, and others
        • A proven track record running profitable, ROI-positive paid media in the lead generation space
        • Experience working in a performance-first environment where every dollar of spend is expected to earn its place
        • Command of creative diagnosis, audience strategy, bidding mechanics, and the ability to distinguish a creative problem from a targeting problem from a measurement problem
        • Experience running ads across search, display, native, and retargeting platforms
        • Experience building or scaling a paid media team, including hiring and developing junior channel specialists
        • A strong understanding of how ad creative, landing page experience, and lead intent interact to drive downstream quality, not just top-of-funnel volume

        Preferred Qualifications

        • Experience in the financial services vertical or adjacent regulated categories (insurance, health, legal)
        • Familiarity with lead gen compliance requirements, including TCPA, state-level advertising rules, and platform-specific policy constraints

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
