Direct Manager Title: Manager, Programmatic & Social Strategy
The Role
The Programmatic & Social Strategist will participate in the strategic planning, set up, and optimization for every programmatic & social program associated with the Performance Marketing line of business. They will be responsible for managing campaigns using demand side platforms and social media platforms to deliver positive outcomes for our clients.
What You’ll Do
- Implement and manage day-to-day programmatic buys across multiple demand side platforms and social media platforms in a self-service manner
- Includes: setting bid strategies, performance monitoring, identifying and implementing optimizations, providing recommendations and program insights
- Analyze 1st- and 3rd-party data to create custom audience segments for cross-channel use
- Work with the Performance Marketing team to support the execution, optimization and reporting for programmatic and social media, and to provide insights and recommendations that enhance strategy and business goals
- Work with the Client Lead and Sales team members to understand performance objectives and KPIs, and develop successful programmatic strategies, including budget recommendations and audience segments
- Lead the strategic development of small social and programmatic campaigns, ensuring that they are designed to meet client objectives, drive engagement, and convert key audiences across platforms
- Support agency of record (AOR) business team to drive success for key integrated marketing programmatic and social campaigns
- Act as an internal training resource for Digital Specialists
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools and best practices, with a desire to bring innovative thinking to paid strategies
- Contribute to strategic thought leadership by sharing articles, providing POVs and incremental opportunities on a regular basis
- Interface with clients as needed to address new technology, strategies or speak to existing campaign performance
Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 2-4 years’ experience with implementing paid digital strategy inclusive of programmatic and social to reach a target audience in support of an acquisition goal
- Solid understanding of the programmatic buying landscape and hands-on experience building and optimizing campaigns.
- Experience with vendors, such as AdTheorent, PulsePoint, TradeDesk, LiveRamp and social platforms, such as Meta and LinkedIn
- Working knowledge of holistic digital landscape: video, display, social, programmatic and marketing analytics
- Working knowledge in setting bid strategies across RTN and PMP inventory
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, with demonstrated ability to organize and consolidate multiple data sources for analysis, including expertise in creating pivot tables for data summarization
Nice to Have
- Experience running campaigns on ad platforms such as Snapchat, TikTok, NextDoor, and Pinterest
- Basic knowledge of search engine marketing
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to clearly convey data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in digital media planning (social and programmatic)
