Title: Associate Account Supervisor, Managed Care

The Role: 

Unlock Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Account Supervisor with a proven track record in health care communications/marketing. As an Associate Account Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in leading strategic communications engagements by fostering client relationships, crafting effective omnichannel campaigns to help clients achieve success in payor negotiations or revenue strategies, and other topics and initiatives related to issues management and/or strategic communications. This role will also support the growth of our healthcare portfolio. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Account Management
    • Lead day-to-day management of client account. Coordinate between client stakeholders and align internal teams across the agency, ensuring deadlines for project scopes and deliverables are met and any potential barriers are proactively identified and addressed.
    • Demonstrate on-going accountability by creating and managing project management materials, including status tracking documentation.
    • Support vendor management related to database development, consumer research, and call center services.
    • Help identify opportunities to expand scope of work with existing clients as part of business development.
    • Daily point of contact with key client contacts, as well as contact for the internal team organized to support the client's engagement.
    • Contribute to meetings and update clients on all activities.
  • Communications Development:
    • Create comprehensive communication plans leveraging owned, earned and paid media.
    • Develop strategic, targeted messaging and materials to execute on approved managed care strategies.
    • Contribute to creative concepting and asset development.
    • Write initial drafts and prepare deliverables for final review with account lead.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Participate in cross-functional teams of managed care leaders, finance teams, revenue cycle teams and analysts to execute integrated managed care strategies.
    • Provide strategic guidance and ensure seamless execution of initiatives, ensuring they align with the client's objectives.
    • Learn from more experienced team members to grow your skills.
  • Market Insights:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and developments within managed care and healthcare industry.
    • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for clients to stay ahead of the curve.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Equivalent of three to five years of experience in healthcare strategy, preferably with a focus on managed care (or a strong desire to learn about managed care).
  • Exceptional writing skills.
  • Experience developing and executing media strategies, including media relations and digital advertising.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience working in a Consulting Firm. 
  • Proven success in managing and growing client relationships in the healthcare sector, providing valuable strategic counsel and thoughtful materials creation.
  • Understanding or a desire to learn managed care models, healthcare reimbursement, and regulatory landscape.
  • Critical thinker and business savvy - desire to understand everything about the business of healthcare and the relationships between payors and providers.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions tailored to client objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Ability to work quickly to adapt to changing client needs and provide recommendations often without comprehensive details. 
  • A self-starter mentality.
