The Role
We are seeking a Senior Director, Project Management to drive operational excellence within the Integrated Marketing Services business unit, while collaborating with other operations leaders on cross-functional initiatives. This role leads cross-functional teams (including direct reports), oversees complex portfolios of work, and ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will bring together the different capabilities inside of IMS to develop scalable, efficient deliverable focused solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness in delivery for this line of business.
A Day in the Life
The Senior Director begins the day reviewing portfolio signals to anticipate delivery, financial, or resourcing issues before they impact clients or margins. Much of the day is spent in working sessions with senior leaders across Operations, PMO, Finance, and functional teams to make prioritization decisions, address constraints, and guide high-impact escalations. The role balances hands-on leadership with forward-looking work, coaching Directors and Program Managers while continuously improving delivery frameworks, Workfront workflows, and operating rhythms to support scale, profitability, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Support the definition and evolution of the project management strategy, frameworks, and best practices, in partnership with and under the guidance of the VP, PMO.
- Align project delivery with organizational, client, and financial objectives
Portfolio & Program Oversight
- Oversee a portfolio of high-impact, multi-workstream, integrated programs
- Ensure consistent execution across teams, methodologies, and tools
- Proactively manage risk, dependencies, and resourcing across initiatives
- Drive prioritization decisions in partnership with stakeholders
- Improve forecasting, capacity planning, and utilization management
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, revenue recognition, and margin optimization
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow Directors, Project Managers, and Program Managers
- Build scalable team structures, career paths, and succession plans in partnership with HR and VP, PMO.
- Foster a team culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Partner with HR on hiring, performance/resource management, and professional development
Ideal Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive project/program management experience
- Specifically Experience in a marketing, technology, or digital agency strongly preferred.
- 4+ years leading managers or directors in a complex organization
- Proven experience managing large portfolios and teams
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, margin/resource management)
- Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Nice to Have
- Background in enterprise client management, project management, and professional services operations
- Change management experience, particularly in process transformation and adoption
- Experience using Workfront Project Management System for project management and resource planning
