Director, Analytics

Chicago, Illinois, United States; Nashville, Tennessee, United States; Remote

Who You Are

You are a marketing analytics and measurement expert who understands that strong measurement goes beyond reporting performance. You know how to evaluate both the effectiveness of marketing investments and whether those investments are driving meaningful progress toward broader business and growth goals.

You bring deep, hands-on experience designing and implementing advanced measurement approaches, including multi-touch attribution, incrementality testing, experimentation, and full-funnel measurement. You understand the benefits, limitations, and appropriate applications of each approach and clearly communicate those differences to clients and internal teams.

As Director, Analytics, you will serve as the analytics lead across a portfolio of clients while remaining actively engaged in the work. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are equally comfortable defining and executing sophisticated measurement strategies, conducting day-to-day analysis and reporting, and leading client delivery. Your versatility allows you to move fluidly between advanced measurement, ongoing performance analysis, technical problem-solving, and strategic consultation.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the analytics lead across a portfolio of clients, owning recurring and ad hoc analysis, reporting, presentations, and actionable recommendations.
  • Combine and analyze data from multiple sources to answer client business questions, evaluate performance, uncover opportunities for optimization, and support marketing decision-making.
  • Develop marketing measurement frameworks that connect marketing activity to client business, growth, acquisition, and revenue-related outcomes, identifying the data collection, tracking, and tagging requirements needed to support them.
  • Recommend, design, and implement multi-touch attribution approaches, incrementality tests, experiments, and other advanced measurement solutions from initial data assessment through interpretation and application.
  • Clearly communicate the benefits, limitations, assumptions, and appropriate uses of different measurement methodologies across varying audiences.
  • Partner with Media, Strategy, MarTech, Marketing Operations, Client Experience, and Data Platform teams to translate measurement objectives into practical data and implementation requirements.
  • Support new business efforts through pitch materials, project scoping, and measurement strategies, while continuously improving practice workflows, methodologies, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor junior team members through technical guidance, feedback, quality review, and support that strengthens their analytical judgment, client communication, and ability to independently own work.
  • Manage multiple client priorities while maintaining high standards for accuracy, analytical rigor, and timely delivery.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics, marketing science, marketing effectiveness, or marketing measurement, including significant experience in a fast-paced agency, consultancy, or multi-client marketing environment.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and implementing advanced measurement solutions (e.g., marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, incrementality testing, experiments), including defining the business question, establishing KPIs and success criteria, assessing data readiness, selecting the appropriate methodology, and carrying the work through execution, validation, interpretation, and application.
  • Deep understanding of the distinctions among attributed performance, incremental impact, marketing efficiency, and progress toward broader business goals, with the judgment to determine which measurement approach is appropriate.
  • Advanced hands-on analytical skills, including proficiency with SQL, R, Python, or another analytical programming language, and experience querying, combining, and analyzing complex, fragmented, or multi-source marketing data.
  • Experience building and using dashboards, reporting solutions, analytical tools, spreadsheets, and AI-assisted workflows to support recurring reporting, deeper analysis, and client decision-making.
  • Proven experience analyzing marketing performance data from multiple sources and translating it into clear insights, compelling narratives, and practical recommendations delivered directly to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and consulting skills, with the ability to make sophisticated measurement concepts understandable and useful.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing channels, campaign and ad platform data, tracking and tagging practices, conversion tracking, and the data infrastructure required to support attribution, experimentation, and advanced marketing measurement.
  • Strong problem-solving and consulting skills, with the versatility to move between technical execution, performance reporting, measurement design, tool development, and strategic client consultation.
  • Experience working with sophisticated customer-level data, attribution, experimentation, and closed-loop measurement required.
  • Experience mentoring junior analytics professionals through technical guidance, quality review, and professional development, with prior people-management experience strongly preferred.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
