Job Summary

The Manager, Customer Development - Club & AFH will represent the internal voice of the customer across Club, Away From Home (AFH), and Drug channels at UNREAL. As a key member of the Commercial Team, you will be responsible for leading performance management, driving sales and brand operations planning, and supporting the development and execution of category strategies. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, this role ensures that channel and customer insights are fully integrated into the development and execution of UNREAL’s brand and category strategies. The Manager, Customer Development - Club & AFH will play a pivotal role in aligning retailer-specific strategies with broader business goals, including both in-store and omnichannel shopper marketing initiatives. The Manager, Customer Development - Club & AFH will be a vital member of the UNREAL Commercial Team and report directly to the Vice President, Customer Strategy & Planning.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Field Sales in sell-in and key account management across Club, AFH, and Drug channels by implementing channel-specific strategies
  • Serve as the voice of the retailer through collaboration with Operations, Brand Marketing/Innovation, and Finance teams
  • Represent customer needs in key organizational processes such as Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), business planning, customer onboarding, and innovation development
  • Support the development and execution of customer promotional strategies 
  • Contribute to innovation and renovation business cases, including analysis of pack sizes by channel, pricing strategies, distribution targets, and trade margins
  • Manage customer onboarding and maintain retailer portals
  • Lead the development and creation of materials for multiple industry, retailer, and distributor trade show events
  • Develop and manage internal retailer sampling processes for existing items and new innovations
  • Partner with Brand Innovation team to provide retailer-specific insights and support the execution of product launches for Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, and the Holiday season

 

Who You Are

  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales or Customer Development within the consumer goods industry
  • Strong understanding of customer operations and channel dynamics
  • Proven ability to demonstrate analytical thinking and data-driven decision making processes
  • Hands-on experience creating compelling, insight-driven customer selling stories
  • Demonstrable ability to leverage Category Management generated insights to develop and execute fully integrated brand and category strategies   
  • Solid business and financial acumen, including a firm understanding of Net Revenue Management principles
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • General knowledge of and passion for the food industry and landscape
  • Proficiency in CPG data tools, (e.g., SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) is a plus

 

The base compensation range for this position is between $110k - $120k annually. This position is also eligible for a 15% bonus. The salary range listed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Individual compensation is determined by additional factors, including role-related experience and relevant education and certifications. Bonus payout is pro-rated to start date. Employees must be employed by September 30 of the calendar year to be eligible for bonus for that calendar year.
