You in This Role In This Role You’ll oversee the assembly, inspection, and preparation of FPV headset components, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to production standards. You’ll manage a team of assemblers, drive operational consistency, and act as the point of escalation for quality or workflow issues. This role requires leadership, hands-on understanding of headset assembly, and a commitment to developing your team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where precision is non-negotiable.

A Day in the Life

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of headset assembly
  • Ensure all workstations meet standard production, quality, and safety standards for optimal output
  • Conduct quality inspections of components and assembled products
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate equipment or workflow issues
  • Train, mentor, and support assemblers to develop skills and maintain performance
  • Monitor adherence to ESD, safety, and quality protocols
  • Collaborate with management to implement process improvements
  • Maintain documentation of production, quality, and team performance metrics

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of headset assemblers to deliver high-quality FPV headset assemblies
  • Drive accountability and craftsmanship at the workstation and team level
  • Ensure production schedules and output targets are met without compromising quality
  • Develop team members’ skills through coaching, training, and feedback
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce defects
  • Serve as the escalation point for quality, safety, or operational issues
  • Represent U.S. manufacturing standards through leadership, attention to detail, and process consistency

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong leadership and team management experience, preferably in manufacturing or electronics assembly
  • Hands-on familiarity with assembly, inspection, and quality control processes
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and ESD compliance
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S methodology, and continuous improvement techniques
  • Ability to stand, observe, and support production for extended periods

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes and quality control
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a production environment

Preferred:

  • Electronics or manufacturing assembly experience
  • Experience with FPV headset components or small electronic devices
  • Familiarity with SOPs, ESD protocols, and production metrics
  • Previous supervisory or coaching experience in a production environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is performed in a manufacturing and electronics assembly environment with ESD controls. Supervisors are expected to be hands-on and actively support the team while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production protocols.

  • Ability to perform hands-on observations and support repetitive tasks as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to work in a production environment with moderate noise levels
