About the Role

We're looking for a highly innovative, technically accomplished Senior Technical Project Manager with a passion for creating exceptional consumer products.

This is an opportunity for an engineer who loves inventing, solving complex problems and creating beautifully engineered products that people genuinely love to use. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of consumer brands and product categories, turning unmet consumer needs into elegant, differentiated products from initial idea to mass production.

One day you might develop an entirely new mechanism. The next, reimagine the ergonomics of an everyday product or solve a challenging manufacturing problem. You'll collaborate with global manufacturing partners, explore new technologies and bring creative engineering solutions to life.

We're looking for an engineer who can invent, develop and deliver. Someone who combines the creativity of a product inventor, the technical expertise of a seasoned mechanical engineer and the execution discipline of an exceptional project manager.

Much of our development is supplier-led, with manufacturing partners responsible for concept development, CAD modeling, prototyping and testing. You'll guide and evaluate their engineering work, challenge technical decisions and ensure products fulfill their promise. This isn't a traditional project management role. You'll own the technical development process and be accountable for getting exceptional products into production on time.

What You’ll Do

Lead Innovation & Engineering
• Translate unmet consumer needs into innovative, intuitive and commercially compelling product solutions.
• Invent mechanisms, improve ergonomics and solve engineering challenges through creative, first-principles thinking.
• Guide differentiated products across categories, balancing design, functionality, user experience and commercial objectives.
• Apply expertise in mechanical engineering, materials and manufacturing to achieve elegant, reliable solutions.
• Identify patentable innovations, develop invention disclosures and contribute to patent applications and IP design-around strategies with counsel.

Drive Product Development & Delivery
• Own concurrent NPD projects from concept through production, with accountability for technical execution andon-time delivery.
• Lead structured stage-gate reviews, decisions, risk management, cross-functional alignment and gate readiness.
• Manage schedules, critical paths and supplier commitments; resolve obstacles before they affect launch dates.
• Direct supplier engineering teams responsible for concepts, CAD, 3D printing, prototyping, engineering development and testing.
• Evaluate supplier designs, prototypes, recommendations and tradeoffs, providing clear technical direction.
• Partner with Sourcing, Quality, Compliance, Operations and Commercial teams to ensure successful launches.

Own Technical Excellence
• Create and maintain Product Specifications, engineering requirements, controlled documentation and design revisions.
• Write test plans and measurable acceptance criteria for performance, durability, reliability, safety and product
claims.
• Direct supplier and third-party testing; critically review test reports and drive corrective actions and root cause
investigations.
• Apply DFM/DFA across diverse materials, manufacturing processes and tooling technologies.
• Review supplier drawings, tolerances, materials, tooling and methods to optimize performance, cost and quality.
• Guide validation, pilot builds and production readiness, ensuring technical requirements are met before launch.

What You’ll Bring
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; 8+ years of relevant engineering and NPD experience.
• Proven record of bringing innovative, mass-produced consumer products from concept to commercialization.
• Deep mechanical design, materials, tooling, manufacturing-process and DFM/DFA expertise.
• Success leading complex projects, stage-gate deliverables and on-time launches.
• Experience directing external supplier engineering teams across design, prototyping, validation and manufacturing.
• Ability to write Product Specifications and test plans, maintain documentation and evaluate technical reports.
• Experience with invention disclosures, patent applications and IP design-around strategies.
• 3D CAD proficiency; strong technical judgment, creative problem solving, communication and project leadership.

Preferred
• Development across multiple categories and manufacturing technologies; named inventor on patents.
• Experience with Asia-based manufacturers; familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, design controls and production validation.
• Advanced engineering degree or project management certification.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…
• Think like an inventor. You challenge conventional solutions and love making products meaningfully better.
• Have exceptional product instincts. You care about the details that make products delightful to use.
• Know how to get things made. You turn ambitious ideas into scalable, cost-effective products.
• Lead with technical credibility. You guide supplier engineers, challenge assumptions and make strong decisions.
• Own the outcome. You move with urgency and take pride in delivering outstanding products on time.
• Thrive on variety. You enjoy new categories, unfamiliar technologies and continuous learning.
• Bring an entrepreneurial mindset. You are resourceful, adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity.
If you’ve ever looked at an everyday product and thought, “I could make that so much better,” this is the kind of role where you get to do exactly that.
