Revenue Operations Manager (REMOTE)

North America - Remote

Upbound is the company behind Crossplane, the open source project which started the control plane revolution in the cloud native community. Upbound is redefining how modern infrastructure is built. As the creators of Crossplane and the pioneers of the Intelligent Control Plane, we are leading the shift toward agentic infrastructure: platforms that reason, adapt, and operate alongside AI-native systems.

As a Revenue Operations Manager at Upbound, you’ll play a critical role in operationalizing and scaling our revenue engine—particularly with a focus on consumption-based billing models. This role blends strategic thinking with executional rigor across sales operations, forecasting, analytics, customer insights, and systems management. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to drive growth through visibility, alignment, and process excellence.

What You'll Do

Revenue Systems & Consumption Billing

  • Own and manage revenue systems end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and automation in usage-based pricing workflows.
  • Implement logic for consumption-based billing (e.g., usage metering, pricing tiers, billing triggers) within tools like Stripe and Metronome.
  • Ensure seamless data integration, visibility, and analytics across revenue operations platforms, including Salesforce and Mosaic.
  • Manage and optimize CRM systems to ensure data integrity and workflow efficiency.

Forecasting & Performance Analytics

  • Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue forecasts, combining pipeline data, usage trends, and sales performance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on leading and lagging indicators to uncover opportunities for growth and risk mitigation.
  • Deliver clean, narrative-driven insights for executive reviews, QBRs, and board meetings.

Strategic Planning & GTM Support

  • Partner cross-functionally to support go-to-market strategies, including headcount modeling, territory carve, and quota planning.
  • Provide analytical support for pricing decisions, resource allocation, sales capacity planning, and market segmentation.
  • Improve forecast accuracy, pipeline coverage, and conversion metrics through continuous performance monitoring.

     Compensation Planning & Management

  • Design, implement, and manage sales compensation plans aligned with company GTM strategy and revenue goals.
  • Partner with leadership on quota setting, territory design, and on-target earnings (OTE) modeling.
  • Administer compensation plans in Salesforce/Mosaic (and future comp systems), ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payouts.
  • Analyze comp effectiveness and recommend changes to improve rep performance, retention, and ROI.

Operational Excellence & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadences to keep teams aligned and proactive.
  • Own ad hoc data analyses and special projects that drive clarity around revenue performance and business health.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational scalability and data consistency.

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Strategy, or FP&A, ideally in high-growth Cloud environments.
  • Proven expertise in consumption-based billing models (metered services, usage-driven pricing).
  • Deep experience with Salesforce, Mosaic, Metronome, Google Sheets, Excel, and business intelligence platforms similar.
  • Strong knowledge of the quote-to-cash cycle and integration between CRM and billing tools.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and comfort operating in fast-paced, data-heavy environments.
  • High-level presentation skills using PowerPoint or G-Slides—able to translate complex analyses into C-suite level insights.
  • A highly structured thinker who can bring clarity to ambiguity and move seamlessly between strategic and tactical work.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across departments and levels.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
