POSITION SUMMARY
We’re looking for a highly connected, industry-savvy leader to own our partnerships and community strategy in the maintenance, reliability, and safety industries. This person will be the connector between UpKeep and the ecosystem of consultants, thought leaders, training organizations, and industry bodies. They’ll expand our reach through strategic partnerships, run our flagship podcast, lead our referral program, build content and education that positions UpKeep as the category leader, and represent us at top industry events.
This is a high-visibility, externally-facing role — you’ll be the face of UpKeep in the community and a trusted partner to our network.
Please note the person in this role can expect to travel up to 30% of the time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partnership Development
- Identify, build, and manage strategic relationships with consultants, training companies, associations, technology partners, and other ecosystem players in maintenance, reliability, and safety.
- Drive the strategy to identify, recruit and engage our customer advocates, manage applicants, and track member activities
- Community Building
- Grow and engage our network of industry professionals through events, webinars, LinkedIn engagement, and peer groups.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with thought leaders and industry experts in the maintenance industry
- Podcast Leadership
- Host and produce our industry-leading podcast, sourcing guests, crafting conversations, and amplifying distribution.
- Align the customer storytelling strategy across UpKeep Marketing including providing the business with transparency into all available customer stories created by Field Marketing, Brand Experience and beyond
- Referral Program Management
- Own and scale our partner referral program to drive pipeline and revenue, ensuring consistent communication and engagement with partners.
- Build and lead the platform event strategy, cadence, communication champions, and programs
- Facilitate internal and external communication before events and data management after events
- Industry Events
- Represent UpKeep at conferences, trade shows, and industry gatherings, delivering presentations, moderating panels, and networking with key stakeholders.
- Host monthly zoom meet and greets
- Content & Education
- Collaborate with marketing to create high-value, educational content (guides, webinars, courses, toolkits) that positions UpKeep as the go-to thought leader in the space.
- Work directly with industry experts to coordinate, schedule, promote, and host 2-4 community webinars/panels per week.
- Curate, write, build, and send the weekly community newsletter containing upcoming events, giveaways, and announcements
- Market Intelligence
- Bring back insights from the field to inform product strategy, GTM plans, and competitive positioning.
- Provide input into business requirements to update marketing automation system capabilities, data needs and related processes to improve efficiencies and drive program results
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, community, or industry leadership roles
- 7+ Experience working in maintenance, reliability, and safety with an existing network of relationships.
- Familiarity with B2B marketing, community marketing
KNOWLEDGE
- Deep understanding of the maintenance, reliability, and safety industry with an existing network of relationships.
- Able to juggle multiple projects, manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic and increasingly global environment.
- Rolling up your sleeves and making sure work reaches the finish line.
- Strong presentation, communication, and networking skills — able to connect with executives, frontline teams, and industry influencers.
- Proven track record of building partnerships that drive measurable business impact.
- Experience hosting or producing content (podcasts, webinars, industry talks) is a strong plus.
- Comfortable being a visible, public-facing representative of the brand.
- Willingness to travel to events and partner meetings (30%+ travel).

COMPENSATION
This role will receive a competitive base salary + annual bonus + benefits + equity. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.
The pay range for this role is $165,000 - $180,000 USD per year.
