Bilingual Sales Engineer
Location: Hybrid – Vancouver, or Montreal,
Department: Sales Enablement as part of Operations
Reports To: VP of Operations
Employment Type: Full-Time, new headcount
Salary: $73-$81K based on experience + 10% performance bonus

Role Overview
The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the sales process by bridging customer needs with Uplifter’s platform capabilities. This is a hands-on, client-facing role responsible for technical discovery, solution design, and pre-sales support for prospective clients, including clubs, events, and national and provincial sport organizations.
Working closely with Sales, Product, and Operations, the Sales Engineer helps prospective customers understand how Uplifter can meet their operational, governance, and technical requirements, while setting clear expectations for implementation and long-term success
This role ensures that our most complex customer issues are resolved effectively and professionally. It also ensures we are building out an Operations team who understands the technical details of our platforms in detail, lessening our dependency on the Product team. By strengthening our technical support capability, the Tier 3 Support Specialist helps protect customer trust and supports our ability to scale.

What You’ll Do
Pre-Sales Technical & Solution Support
- When required, partner with Sales to support complex client discussions, through the pre-sales lifecycle, from early discovery through contract signature
- Lead technical and operational discovery sessions to understand prospect requirements, workflows, constraints, and success criteria.
- Translate complex customer needs into clear solution designs aligned with Uplifter’s platform capabilities and implementation approach.Sell what we have
- Design and create re-usable product demo materials for the Sales team to leverage following the 80/20 rule of what’s in the box vs what is customizable.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations, focusing on real-world use cases for clubs, events, and sport organizations.
- Answer technical, configuration, and integration questions from prospective clients, including data migration, governance, and security considerations
Solution Design & Scoping
- Define implementation scope, assumptions, and dependencies in collaboration with Sales and Operations
- Support pricing and proposal development by validating technical feasibility and implementation effort with Onboarding team.
- Identify risks, edge cases, or non-standard requirements early in the sales cycle and recommend viable solutions or alternatives
- Provide feedback to Sales and Leadership when the customers requirements do not align with our GTM approach, ensuring it’s flagged as a risk ahead of time
- Ensure accurate handoff documentation and communication from Sales to Onboarding to enable smooth post-sale implementation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the rest of the Ops team and the Product team to ensure solutions sold are realistic, scalable, and aligned with delivery capabilities
- Partner with Product to provide feedback on market needs, recurring sales blockers, and feature gaps
- Support Operations in refining pre-sales tools, templates, and documentation to improve consistency and efficiency
Customer Trust & Relationship Building
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospective clients, building credibility through clear, honest, and practical guidance
- Support complex or strategic sales opportunities, including NSOs, PSOs, and multi-organization rollouts
- Occasionally support existing customers during expansion, upsell, or renewal conversations by validating new use cases or configurations
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Support customer questions related to governance models, data privacy, security standards, and operational controls
- Ensure solutions proposed align with regulatory and organizational requirements common in sport organizations
What We’re Looking For
- Bilingual in English & French.
- Experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Implementation Consultant, or similar role in a SaaS or technology environment

- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly explanations
- Comfort working directly with sales teams and customer stakeholders in a consultative, solution-oriented manner
- Very strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience working with membership-based platforms, event management systems, or sports organizations is an asset
- Familiarity with integrations, data migration, or configurable SaaS platforms is a plus
