Overview of the role: 

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Upshop Customer Team in Europe to help lead the implementation of our innovative SaaS solutions for food retailers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by driving complex projects for new and existing customers across Europe, ensuring successful delivery of our market-leading technology. 

The European headquarters is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, but you will work closely with our teams across Europe and North America, leading projects that reduce food waste, increase sales and enhance store operations. While we prefer candidates based in Gothenburg, we are flexible and welcome applicants from our other key locations: UK/Cambridge, Copenhagen, with the possibility of remote work. We believe in fostering strong team collaboration, so if you are based near one of our offices, regular in-person engagements are encouraged. 

This role provides a unique chance to shape the customer experience directly, work closely with our engineering and support teams, and be part of a mission-driven company that's changing the food retail industry. Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure on-time delivery of complex enterprise SaaS projects across Europe 
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively, fostering clear communication and collaboration 
  • Lead transatlantic projects, coordinating deliverables with team members in North America 
  • Report project progress regularly to both customers and internal teams, ensuring transparency and alignment 
  • Ensure that our customer journey is followed and clearly communicated to the customer, addressing any concerns proactively 
  • Drive continuous improvement by gathering customer feedback and incorporating it into our processes 
  • Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and customer success to ensure cohesive project delivery 

Qualifications:

We’d like you to be a flexible, positive, and structured person who wants to contribute to reducing food waste. You are independent, proactive, and a team player who can handle both busy periods and sudden changes. Here's our ideal candidate:

  • Approximately 5 years of project management experience, with a focus on IT or SaaS environments 
  • At least 2 years of experience managing the delivery of SaaS products to enterprise customers 
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects, ensuring on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with both internal teams and external customers 
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate project goals, progress, and outcomes to diverse audiences 
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Speak one of the Scandinavian languages, Swedish, Danish or Norwegian 
  • Can speak a 3rd language such as German, Spanish or French 
  • Grocery or food retail experience
