About the Role
UPSTACK is seeking a hands‑on Performance Marketer to architect and scale our growth engine from the ground up. You've spent your career relentlessly optimizing, guided by data, and obsessed with driving measurable results—and now you're ready to build something high-impact from day one.
In this strategic, highly execution-oriented role, you’ll work closely with our founder and CEO to design and execute end-to-end performance marketing campaigns, measure what moves the needle, and iterate to maximize ROI. Over time, you’ll build and own the entire performance marketing function—growing the team, refining processes, and embedding performance marketing deeply into every stage of the growth funnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Owns the performance marketing roadmap, including channel strategy (search, social, display, etc.), campaign setup, optimization, reporting, and analytics from the ground up.
- Set up analytics, tracking, and attribution infrastructure (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, CRM integration).
- Develops campaign management frameworks, naming conventions, SOPs, and reporting templates.
- Runs rigorous experiments (A/B and multivariate tests) on creatives, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies to optimize CPA, ROAS, and LTV.
- Analyzes campaign data for actionable insights and communicate results clearly to founders and stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the founder to iterate, troubleshoot, and refine growth initiatives.
- Over time: Scale the function, transition into department ownership, and play a leading role in hiring, training, and developing the performance marketing team.
Who You Are
- Hands-on expert: 4-7 years of direct, end-to-end experience in performance marketing, digital acquisition, or paid media, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Proven track record planning, executing, and optimizing campaigns across major paid channels (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic).
- Intensely data-driven: You are obsessed with metrics and leverage analytics and attribution tools to drive every decision.
- You have an insatiable appetite for leads, revenue, and business results—you wake up every morning and eat leads for breakfast.
- Deep familiarity with analytics and attribution tools and an analytical, test-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to build marketing frameworks, processes, and documentation from zero.
- Obsessive problem solver: You love troubleshooting, finding answers, and optimizing every detail to drive even better outcomes.
- Comfortable with campaign strategy, technical setup, AND day-to-day execution; ready to “roll up your sleeves” as the first performance marketer.
- Experience collaborating closely with founders or cross-functional teams, and excited by the chance to shape company growth at an early stage.
- Growth-oriented: Ambitious to build and lead a team as we scale, with experience or aptitude for hiring and mentorship strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements
- The ideal candidate is in the NY Metro area and prepared to come into the office at least 3 days a week.
Salary Range
Employees new to UPSTACK typically come in at the start of the pay range. UPSTACK focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure, which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, and job-related skills.
The salary range for this role is $120,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually plus participation in the annual bonus program.
