About the Role

The Commission Experience Analyst is responsible for validating, standardizing, and managing commission payments to enhance accounting process efficiency and ensure the transactional accuracy of monthly commissions. This role confirms the accuracy of advisor and sub-agent commissions and provides a positive experience for advisors by answering questions, resolving issues, and delivering timely, effective solutions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. They are a proactive communicator and critical thinker who is comfortable managing complex data and cross-functional relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Commission Reporting & Data Integrity

  • Validate and standardize incoming commission reports.
  • Import commission data into internal systems such as RPM and Salesforce.
  • Review and analyze commission data to ensure accuracy, identify variances, dropped accounts, and discrepancies.
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources to validate commission outcomes.

Dispute & Conflict Resolution

  • Navigate and negotiate challenging conversations around commission issues.
  • Manage disputes with suppliers and TSDs through to resolution.
  • Provide excellent customer service and conflict resolution to advisors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Collections Management

  • Oversee and manage collection efforts.
  • Collaborate daily with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of commissions.

Advisor & Supplier Support

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Advisors, TSDs, and Suppliers.
  • Serve as a resource to answer commission-related inquiries and ensure a positive advisor experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams across departments to leverage resources in support of advisor needs.
  • Share insights from commission data to support operational and business decisions.

Process Improvement

  • Assist in creating and implementing new processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline manual tasks.

Operational Excellence

  • Meet and exceed deadlines consistently.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • TSD Experience – Required; direct experience working with Technology Services Distributors (TSDs).
  • Telecom Industry Knowledge – Required; strong understanding of telecom services, suppliers, and commission structures.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency – Strong proficiency required, particularly in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data management).
  • Salesforce Experience – Preferred; experience managing data and workflows in Salesforce is a plus.
  • Tableau Experience – Preferred but not required.
  • Macro Experience – Preferred but not required.
  • Fast-Paced Environment Adaptability – Demonstrated success working in a high-growth, fast-moving technology organization.
  • Data Analysis Skills – Strong analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Customer Service Orientation – Proven ability to support and communicate effectively with both Advisors and internal teams.
  • Process Automation – History of identifying and automating manual processes is a strong plus.
  • Self-Motivation & Independence – Highly self-driven, capable of managing tasks with minimal supervision and meeting tight deadlines.

Salary Range

Employees new to UPSTACK typically come in at the start of the pay range. UPSTACK focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure, which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, and job-related skills. 

The base salary range for this role is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 annually, plus participation in the annual bonus plan.
