Upwork is excited to announce that we are opening our first international hub, located in Lisbon, Portugal. This expansion marks a significant milestone in Upwork’s evolution into an AI-native platform, creating a new base for product development and technical hiring outside the U.S. It underscores the company’s commitment to investing in the infrastructure and talent needed to shape the future of work.

We have immediately begun hiring! The roles will be focused on technical talent (product, design, product engineering, AI/ML engineering) in addition to more general back-office roles such as Finance and HR. While our office plans are still in development, we are excited to begin hiring immediately.
