The opportunity 

As our People Operations Working Student, you will join our small but mighty People Operations team, help to deliver an exceptional employee experience for approximately 400 employees across Europe. In this role, you will contribute to meaningful People initiatives and gain valuable exposure to a variety of key People topics including employment law, payroll, and People Product & Tools (e.g. Personio), all within a fast-paced, international environment.

What you will do 

  • You will report to and work alongside the People Operations team
  • You will support employee queries by guiding them to the right resources and ensuring their questions are addressed with clarity and care
  • Support payroll processing by entering and validating data with accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist with internal audits, documentation, and gathering key compliance information
  • Maintain accurate HR data in Personio and support reporting to inform decision making
  • Contribute to process optimisation and strategic People projects spanning the employee lifecycle (onboarding and offboarding)

What you'll need to succeed

  • You are currently enrolled in a university, ideally studying a field related to HR, Business, or a similar discipline
  • You are available at least 15h/week (max. 20 hours)
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (C1 or higher)
  • You are based in Berlin and can work from our Head Office approximately 2–3 days per week
  • You handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • You are self-driven, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • You have a proactive mindset, a passion for employee experience, and a strong desire to develop in areas such as project management, stakeholder management, and HR operations across Europe
