Metal Heat Treater
Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has an opening for a Metal Heat Treater for our day shift operations working full-time Monday-Friday and may require working on Saturday based on workloads.

Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.
Starting pay is $30.28/hour

A day in the life of a Metal Heat Treater includes the set-up, operation, and maintenance of heating equipment to heat treat and braze a variety of metal parts using atmosphere furnaces, vacuum furnaces, and induction equipment. Assembles and/or straighten parts according to specification. Has a working knowledge of instruments and gages used with heat treating equipment, uses Rockwell hardness testing machines and other testing devices and keeps documented files on all heat-treating jobs to reference procedures, heats, etc.
Qualified applicants must have a minimum of one year’s manufacturing experience with a high school education or equivalent, or post-high school training in manufacturing or engineering-related disciplines. Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and blueprints, solve math problems, multi-task and understand priorities, basic computer skills, and able to communicate effectively. Physical demands include continuous standing and walking with frequent sitting, pushing/pulling, overreaching above shoulder and wrist movement.
