Assembly Supervisor
Overview
US Conec is seeking a hands-on Assembly Supervisor to lead production operations on our 2nd shift team. In this role, you will:
- Oversee daily workflow and guide production employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Drive improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency across the department
- Coach team members, enforce policies, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer deadlines
- Play a key role in process improvement, documentation, and team development
Responsibilities
- Plan and assign work based on the production tracker and shipping schedule
- Monitor workflow and adjust personnel assignments to meet changing priorities
- Coach, counsel, and discipline employees while enforcing company policies and procedures
- Review and approve Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) for accuracy and compliance
- Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
- Track and report on cost reduction strategies and operational metrics
- Coordinate with other departments to meet customer order deadlines
- Maintain and approve time and production records; supervise Paylocity time entries
- Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations across the team
- Suggest changes to working conditions and equipment usage to increase efficiency
- Support training and development of team members and lead substitutes
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance and process improvements
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance personnel
- Oversee tool serialization and inventory tracking
- Participate in fixture testing and approval processes with Quality and Engineering teams
Must Haves
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Proven ability to supervise and guide 50–100 production employees
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and timekeeping systems
- Clear communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Commitment to safety, documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement
