Molding Supervisor - Off Shift (8:00pm to 5:00am)
Overview
US Conec is seeking a hands-on Molding Supervisor to lead the injection molding floor employees engaged in machines operating to produce plastic injection molded products. The Molding Supervisor works with the shift leads to assign duties and manage tasks for all departmental employees.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide support for three shift leads and all molding floor employees on multiple shifts.
- Requisition material required to meet production orders.
- Examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
- Review production schedules and determine resources required for completion of job assignment.
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product as part of continuous improvement.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase employee efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems through both office (non-manual) and manual work using independent judgement and discretion.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Approve timecards and paid time off requests.
- Perform activities of workers supervised to cover workload when employees are absent.
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to effectively direct, supervise, and monitor multiple employees and activities.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
