Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist ensures accurate inventory records and reliable material flow to support US Conec’s manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role partners closely with warehouse, production, procurement, planning, and finance teams to maintain data integrity, minimize discrepancies, and enable informed operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system, ensuring alignment between system data and physical inventory
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Process inventory adjustments with appropriate documentation and approvals
- Track, analyze, and report inventory accuracy metrics and trends
- Plan, coordinate, and execute cycle count programs across warehouse locations
- Investigate cycle count variances and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for all inventory counts and adjustments
- Support and participate in full physical inventory counts as required
- Partner with planning and procurement to support optimal inventory levels and material availability
- Maintain item master data accuracy, including locations, units of measure, and related attributes
- Optimize warehouse storage locations to improve space utilization, picking efficiency, and order accuracy
- Identify opportunities for improvement in inventory control processes and transaction accuracy
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and other operational excellence efforts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, receiving, shipping, production, and finance teams to support operational and audit requirements
Must Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain environments
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis
- Working knowledge of inventory control methodologies such as cycle counting, FIFO, and ABC analysis
- Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in data management
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes and solve problems
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment
Nice to Haves
- Experience supporting inventory audits or working closely with finance teams
- Prior exposure to Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement programs
- Experience optimizing warehouse layouts or storage strategies
- Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment
