Director of Provider Enablement

New York, NY

About Us

Nourish is on a mission to improve people’s health by making it easy to eat well. Nutrition-related chronic disease is the largest and most overlooked crisis in the world. Food can be medicine: working with a Registered Dietitian is one of the most effective interventions available, but <1% of eligible Americans use their covered benefits.

Nourish is building an AI-native, patient-friendly healthcare system centered on nutrition that improves outcomes, lowers costs, and helps people live healthier, longer lives. We launched three years ago, are live in all 50 states, and already have thousands of dietitians and hundreds of thousands of patients on the platform.

We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised $115M from top-tier VCs including JP Morgan Growth Equity, Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Maverick Ventures, Box Group, Atomico, G Squared, and Pinegrove Venture Partners. Our angel investors include world-class healthcare founders from Oscar, Rightway Health, Headway, Spring Health, and Alto Pharmacy, as well as soccer star Alex Morgan and the founders from Olipop and Notion.

About the Role

As Director of Provider Enablement, you will be responsible for creating and owning the systems that train and coach Nourish's clinical workforce to drive patient retention and health outcomes. This is a newly created role within our Clinical Operations team that will be critical to scaling our provider base while maintaining high clinical quality.

You'll be responsible for building the infrastructure, systems, and processes that ensure every provider delivers excellent care from day one and continues to improve over time. This includes designing new and existing provider training programs, partnering with our product team to drive asynchronous improvements, implementing coaching interventions with our clinical quality team, measuring provider performance, and managing productivity and effectiveness of our clinical quality team. As we expand into a multidisciplinary care model with additional specialties, you'll adapt these systems to support new provider types.

This person will report into our Head of Clinical Operations and work closely with our Care Strategy and Provider Strategy teams, as well as with Product, Data, and the Clinical Quality team. You'll be a key member of the Clinical Operations leadership team, helping shape how Nourish delivers high-quality care at scale.

This role is full-time and open to NYC-based candidates only (expectation to work in-person 3-4 days per week, with some remote flexibility). Our office is located in Union Square.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the training and coaching systems that enable our providers to deliver excellent care, including RD outcomes and retention training training (live and asynchronous) and coaching interventions that drive retention and outcomes;
  • Build and lead the Provider Enablement team, serving as the DRI on key clinical performance metrics.
  • Drive measurable improvements in patient retention, health outcomes, clinical coaching effectiveness and productivity, and provider performance through data-driven coaching and training initiatives
  • Partner closely with our Clinical Quality team to translate learnings from individual coaching interventions into scalable process and product improvements
  • Establish performance management systems that identify underperforming providers, implement retraining plans, and manage offboarding when necessary
  • Scale enablement infrastructure to support new provider types as Nourish expands into a multidisciplinary care model

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have 6–10 years of experience, with a mix of strategy work (e.g., management consulting, finance, business operations) and direct start-up experience
  • You are a first-principles thinker. You enjoy revamping processes/tech and identifying areas for improvement. You don’t take something for given just because it’s been done that way historically — you identify the best way to do it now and move to actualize it.
  • You’ve led teams before and are excellent at people management & driving teams to high performance. You’re results-driven and metrics-oriented, and not afraid of ambitious targets.
  • You care deeply about clinical outcomes, and will set up the systems to measure and improve overall clinical quality.
  • You are operationally excellent, able to manage a robust hiring/onboarding funnel and large volume of moving pieces seamlessly, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • You’re extremely comfortable working cross-functionally, especially with clinical teams, but also driving success across functions ranging from growth to operations, finance, engineering, data, and more.
