USM ReRents is the leading aerial lift equipment re-rental company in the US, renting straight & articulating booms, ultra-booms, compact atrium crawlers & spider-lifts, and heavy-capacity telehandlers to large equipment rental yards/companies all over North America (who, in turn, rent these booms and lifts to the end-user - a construction contractor).

Strong demand for specialized rental equipment, USM ReRents continued growth, and the corresponding need to continually & effectively turn over our rental fleet assets spurs our active search for an Equipment Broker to connect USM to buyers of aerial construction equipment, facilitating transactions of used and new machinery, vehicles, and related parts. You will broker our rental fleet assets sale and arrange related inspections, marketing, negotiations, and logistics, including shipping and financing, on behalf of US Markets. 

 

What You Will Do...

Find buyers for USM aggressively seek out parties interested in a specific piece of new or used equipment (e.g., an ultra-boom, a spider lift, and/or a telehandler) and successfully connect them to USM for transactions both in the now and in the future.

Facilitate transactions - oversee the entire process (from initial inquiries to final sale), including documentation, inspections, and logistics.

Provide market expertise - understand current market conditions, including pricing and demand for various equipment types.

Negotiate deals - work to find mutually agreeable terms for USM as a seller.

Manage relationships - build and maintain relationships with buyers, fostering long-term partnerships.

Inspectionsarrange for inspections to assess the condition of the equipment. 

Marketing - market equipment through various channels, including online platforms and industry publications.  Work synergistically and respectfully with Marketing Specialist.

Shipping and logistics - coordinate the transport of equipment to the buyer's location.

Financing - where pertinent, take related input/direction from USM finance and accounting function.  Suggest financing options to buyers of USM equipment. 

Negotiations - negotiate prices, payment terms, and other details of the equipment or parts sale on behalf of USM.

Documentation - prepare and manage necessary paperwork; i.e., sales agreements and shipping documents.

What You Must Bring (required credentials)...

Previous equipment brokerage experience, or experience in large asset sales.  An Associate's degree.

Knowledge of equipment and markets - must have (or quickly develop) a comprehensive understanding of different types of MEWP and material-handling equipment and their market value. Knowledge of various makes, models & manufacturers of booms, telehandlers and crawlers. Knowledge of equipments’ application and safe usage. Knowledge of construction equipment rental industry. 

Strong communication and negotiation skillsmust be able to effectively communicate with both buyers and sellers and negotiate favorable terms.

Sales and business development skills - must possess ability to generate leads, build & strengthen relationships, and close deals.

Problem-solving and analytical skillsmust be able to identify and address potential issues that may arise during a transaction.

Ability to handle logistics - must be able to coordinate shipping, inspections, and other logistical aspects of a transaction. 

Skills in the MS Office suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook). 

Skills in keeping oneself organized, in time management, and in follow-up and follow-through.

Proven abilities in attention to detail and in customer service.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Willingness & ability to take pro-active actions and to effectively multi-task.  Ability to prepare reports.  Abilities to read, interpret and communicate equipment drawings and specifications.

 

 *A familiarity with the construction equipment rental industry is helpful, but not required.

*** Compensation will include a base salary plus commission structure, to be dependent upon one's specifically-related experience
