We are seeking multiple skilled Golf Cart and Truck Mechanics to join the team at our Portage, Indiana facility and equipment yard. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining golf carts, trucks, and other vehicles. If you have a passion for the mechanical, possess skills in engine repair, hydraulics, electrical panels/wiring, etc. and enjoy working in a hands-on environment, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose and repair gas and electric golf carts
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and other vehicles
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulics issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety and performance
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in golf cart and truck repair
• Knowledge of electrical systems, engines, and hydraulics
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A valid driver’s license
• The ability to lift occasionally heavy equipment/parts and work in various weather conditions
• A stable work record

• A fire to succeed – you possess a general sense of urgency and an ability to keep others updated! You bring positive energy, and are unafraid of new projects.

Preferred candidates will possess experience repairing construction rental industry equipment.

The USM workplace can be fast-paced, for we are diagnosing and repairing equipment to return it to our rental fleet, or prepare assets for sale.  Ours is a heavily team-oriented work culture.  So if you prefer to work independently, or are not a team player ready to engage and support others, our workplace is probably not for you.  “Remote” work arrangements are not available.
