About the Role

As a Full Stack Application Developer Intern, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of PlayStation applications. You’ll gain hands-on experience working across the full stack—building features, writing tests, collaborating on design, and improving existing systems. This role offers the opportunity to learn industry best practices while making a real impact on the PlayStation ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Build familiarity with existing software, tools, and code base

  • Participate in design discussions and planning meetings

  • Collaborate with UX designers and Product Management to refine requirements

  • Contribute as part of an Agile Scrum team to develop features, write unit and integration tests, create documentation, and ship software

  • Improve existing software through profiling, refactoring, and optimization

What You’ll Learn

  • Hands-on experience with full stack application development

  • Best practices in Agile software development and cross-team collaboration

  • How to apply OOP concepts and design patterns in real-world projects

  • Experience building, testing, and shipping features used by PlayStation players

  • Exposure to the development of gaming, digital media services, and device software
     

What We’re Looking For

  • Current enrollment in an accredited university Bachelor’s program in Computer Science or related field, with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027

  • Strong programming skills: JavaScript, Java, RNPS, HTML5, CSS, JSON

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns

  • Familiarity with writing multi-threaded applications

  • Some experience with single-page app design and development and services integration

  • A team player who learns quickly, communicates effectively, and brings a positive, can-do attitude

  • Interest in gaming, digital media services, or device software

Eligibility

  • Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Undergraduate

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
