About The Team

At Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), we are looking for a software engineering intern to join our agile, high-performance development team and contribute to the Best Place to Play. You will apply your software development skills to deliver innovative features that delight our users. You’ll collaborate daily with a diverse team dedicated to excellence, inclusion, and fun. This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the world’s most recognized brands and engage with PlayStation engineering teams across the globe.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop software features with team members using Javascript/Typescript, Java, React Native, and Python

  • Build both client-side user interfaces and the corresponding service REST endpoints that enable feature functionality

  • Work with a wide variety of stakeholders to communicate and refine specifications

  • Collaborate in an agile development environment and use tools like Git to manage code and contributions

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • Experience with React, JavaScript, Java, and web applications

  • Experience with Python programming language

  • Experience with SQL is a plus

  • Ability to work effectively with geographically remote and culturally diverse teams

  • Interest in gaming and related social features

Eligibility

  • Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Graduate Degree - Master’s

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

At this time, SIE will only consider applicants who are authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from SIE now or in the future to maintain their authorization to work in the United States.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
