
Software Engineer Intern
About The Team
The Creative Automation team is building the capability to automatically deliver personalized creatives to any PlayStation experience—including PS5, Web, and Mobile—with minimal human intervention. Our work combines technology, creativity, and innovation to enhance how players connect with PlayStation content.
What You’ll Do

Develop and test web applications using ReactJS and Java in an agile development environment

Debug and solve technical issues with guidance and support from the team

Collaborate with product and design teams to understand user needs and design functional, intuitive, and visually appealing interfaces

Seek out and interpret key information to help turn ideas into effective solutions

Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that adheres to best practices and standards

Test and debug front-end code to ensure it works across different environments

Participate in code reviews to help maintain the quality of the codebase

Contribute to the development of technical specifications and architecture documents

Write and complete unit and component tests

Effectively prioritize your time and build out user-focused features

Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and best practices

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
-
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

Experience in React, JavaScript, or Java application development

Experience in agile software development

Experience using source control tools like Git and SVN
-
Experience working in a team-focused software development environment

Strong communication skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and contribute
Eligibility

Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Advanced Degree - Master’s

Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
