The Software Engineering Intern role within the PS5 Subscriptions Client team is an exciting opportunity for students or early-career engineers who are passionate about gaming and eager to develop their technical and problem-solving skills. As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals to build and maintain applications that power the PlayStation Plus experience on PS5, contribute to solving real-world challenges, and support efforts to improve performance and user experience through data analysis.
What You’ll Gain

With mentorship and guidance from senior engineers, you’ll gain hands-on technical experience developing and maintaining large-scale software systems in a dynamic, team-based environment. This internship provides the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects that reach millions of players worldwide.
What You’ll Do

Work with engineers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and help create solutions.

Assist in building and maintaining applications that support PlayStation Plus experiences.

Help the team monitor operations and assist with issues or production incidents.

Participate in design and code reviews to learn best practices and share ideas.

Support the team by analyzing data to identify problems and improve the player experience.
What We’re Looking For

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related technical field with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

Familiarity with JavaScript through coursework or personal projects.

Exposure to building web applications or services (school projects count!).

Basic understanding of how to interact with RESTful APIs.

Interest in Agile development and working in a collaborative environment.

Some experience using Git or other version control tools.

Comfortable working with people from different backgrounds (engineering, design, product, to name a few).

Curiosity and a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to the team.
Eligibility

Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Undergraduate Degree

Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
