Software Engineer Intern
About The Team
Machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming how we play, create, and connect. At SIE, we’ve been investing in ML/AI for years, building a strong foundation to support innovation across PlayStation experiences. Behind every breakthrough lies great data—its availability, reliability, and usability—and that’s where the Data Plumber team comes in.
We ensure data flows securely and efficiently from end to end, making it ready for any ML application. Every day, we manage terabytes of data streaming from consoles (PS4, PS5) and external devices into our Data Platform and Warehouses for analytics, machine learning, and AI.
As an intern, you’ll help design, automate, and optimize the data pipelines that power PlayStation’s ML capabilities. You’ll gain real-world experience with modern data engineering principles like Data Mesh and Data Fabric, working on our next-generation data streaming platform.
