About The Team

The Product Information Design and Development (PIDD) group helps deliver PlayStation hardware and software on time by producing clear, accurate documentation. This includes PlayStation Terminology, user manuals, and packaging materials that support key product milestones. The team also improves internal workflows by adopting modern tools and refining content development processes.

As an Information Development Intern, you’ll contribute to real-world projects and gain practical experience in technical writing, content management, and user research. You’ll work with tools used across the industry and collaborate with teams focused on product delivery and documentation quality.

What You’ll Do

Documentation Updates

  • Revise internal documentation for PlayStation Terminology tools.

  • Update end-user instructional content to reflect current tool features.

  • Refresh service-level agreements (SLAs) and operational-level agreements (OLAs).

  • Perform terminology alignment and consistency checks.

  • Organize and maintain Confluence pages.

AEM Support and Training

  • Learn Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) workflows and create step-by-step guides.

  • Support page creation, including layout setup, asset management, and publishing.

  • Conduct QA checks to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and proper formatting.

Repository and Database Maintenance

  • Maintain content in the PIDD Git repository and other content platforms.

  • Update project and content databases as needed.

  • Document maintenance processes to support long-term use.

User Testing and Research

  • Assist with planning and conducting user testing for consumer-facing content.

  • Help synthesize feedback and suggest improvements.

  • Research documentation standards to support best practices.

What You’ll Learn

What We’re Looking For

  • Current enrollment in an accredited university undergraduate program in Technical Communication, User Experience/Design, or related field, with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • Proven technical writing skills; portfolio required.

  • Comfortable working with consumer electronics.

  • Familiarity with standards such as the Microsoft Style Guide.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.

  • Japanese language skills preferred but not required.

Eligibility

  • Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Undergraduate 

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. 

 

 

Intern Pay Range

$33.25 - $40 USD
