About The Team

Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation, has a great opportunity for you! We are seeking an Audio Programmer Intern to contribute to the audio systems of PlayStation’s “MLB The Show” game series. This Summer 2026 internship offers hands-on experience in building and improving the technology that delivers some of the best audio experiences in sports video games.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and maintain audio features that enhance gameplay.

  • Design, develop, and support in-house audio tools and low-level audio code.

  • Add new features and make improvements based on project and studio needs.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and other team members.

  • Optimize audio code for performance and efficiency.

What You’ll Gain

What We’re Looking For

  • Current enrollment in an accredited university Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • Strong experience with C++ coding and systems design.

  • Comfortable with advanced mathematics.

  • Strong organization and time management skills.

  • Effective communication and active collaboration skills.

  • Self-motivated teammate with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with DSP (Digital Signal Processing).

Eligibility

  • Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Advanced Degree - Master’s

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
