Events Manager

Guadalajara, Mexico

About the opportunity

UtilityProfit is a fast-growing, venture-backed PropTech company reinventing one of the most overlooked parts of the rental and home-move experience. Our software is free to the partners who adopt it - that’s property managers, real estate teams, and other businesses that touch the move. We make money on transaction and referral revenue as consumers activate services through the platform. It is a rare B2B2C model with exceptional product-market fit: rapid triple-digit revenue growth and a freshly closed Series A to fuel the next phase.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to plan and execute high-quality conferences and industry events. This role will manage the full event lifecycle—from strategy and budgeting through vendor coordination, on-site execution, and post-event reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of event management experience, strong project-management skills, a proven ability to deliver complex events on time and within budget, and high energy to engage with customers throughout the day. This person will work closely with our marketing and sales teams, external partners, conference organizers, and vendors to create engaging attendee experiences that lead to more sign ups.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and execute your assigned list of conferences from start to finish
  • Develop detailed project plans, production schedules, staffing plans, and event timelines
  • Be on-site to manage the conference setups, ensure the logistics are clear for other team members attending, and support the selling at our booth
  • Manage event budget and expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Coordinate event logistics, including travel and accommodations, signage, marketing materials, and campaigns
  • Recommend other conference or event opportunities that could help us reach our acquisition goals
  • Manage pre-conference and post-conference follow ups with attendees
  • Measure the ROI of each conference and recommend improvements
  • Partner with marketing, sales and other internal teams to align event programming with business objectives

Ideal candidate

  • Proactive
  • Highly organized
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative and scrappy
  • Clear communicator
  • High energy - enjoys talking to customers and can pitch our company
  • Adaptable - can handle last-minute changes
  • Collaborative

Requirements

  • Fluency in verbal and written English
  • Ability to frequently travel to the U.S. for conferences (can be up to 3 - 4 conferences per month)
  • At least 3 years of experience managing conferences, trade shows, or similar programs
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing events from initial planning through post-event reporting

Compensation

Monthly Salary Range: $3,000-4,000 USD, based on experience and qualifications

This role will work remotely from Guadalajara, Mexico and will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing

Please note that this is a remote, independent contractor opportunity. As a contractor, you’ll use your own equipment. Please note that this role is not eligible for company-sponsored employee benefits, such as health insurance, or retirement benefits.
