Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, results-driven Junior Sales Representative to initiate cold calls, qualify leads, and schedule appointments with potential clients. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in sales and be part of a supportive team that fosters growth and development. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a hunger for success, and the ability to handle rejection with resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cold Calling: Make outbound calls to prospective clients, introducing our products and services, and generating interest in our offerings.
  • Lead Qualification: Identify and qualify leads based on set criteria to ensure they are a good fit for our solutions.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Secure meetings and demos for senior sales team members by effectively communicating value propositions.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in CRM system, tracking progress and follow-ups.
  • Sales Reporting: Track and report key performance metrics to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet daily, weekly, and monthly activity and sales targets, including call volume, conversion rates, and new client appointments.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training sessions to develop sales skills, product knowledge, and market expertise.

Key Metrics:

  • Daily Call Volume: Minimum of 100 cold calls per day.
  • Email Generation/Online Connections – 500/month
  • Lead Conversion Rate: Achieve a conversion rate of 15% (from cold call to qualified lead).
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule a minimum of 15 qualified meetings per week.
  • Sales Opportunities Created: Generate at least 8 new sales opportunities per month.
  • CRM Updates: Maintain 95% accuracy in CRM database, with all interactions logged within 24 hours.
  • Monthly Quota: Meet or exceed a sales quota of 40 appointments and/or leads per month.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 0-2 years of sales experience, preferably in cold calling or outbound sales.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
  • Persistence: A go-getter attitude with the ability to handle objections and rejection while maintaining enthusiasm.
  • Goal-Oriented: Proven ability to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and sales targets.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software such as Bullhorn, Salesforce and Linkedin Sales Navigator.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and eager to contribute to team success.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities and market conditions.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. An applicant may also be eligible to participate in certain incentive compensation programs based on achieving certain performance targets set forth each year and subject to the incentive compensation plan’s terms and conditions. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.

Salary Range for this role:

$65,000 - $65,000 USD
