Project Manager (Business Solutions Lead)
Position Overview
The Project Manager (Business Solutions Lead) operates as a strategic partner within the Claims and Risk Control group, driving cross-functional initiatives and solving complex business challenges. This role functions similarly to a chief-of-staff, requiring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to independently lead projects that improve operational effectiveness and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute strategic initiatives across the Claims and Risk Control group, focusing on solving business problems rather than simply tracking tasks

Identify operational challenges, develop solutions, and drive implementation with minimal oversight

Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align on priorities, streamline processes, and improve performance

Quickly develop a deep understanding of the business, industry dynamics, and organizational goals

Act as a thought partner to senior leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and execution support

Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring progress, accountability, and measurable outcomes

Drive action and maintain momentum on key projects, demonstrating urgency and ownership

Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities while maintaining focus on high-impact results
Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in project management, business operations, consulting, or a related field

Experience within insurance, brokerage, claims, or risk control environments preferred but not required

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and lead initiatives independently

Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership

Highly self-motivated, action-oriented, and capable of operating without close supervision

Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at multiple levels

Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills

Tenacious and persistent, with a track record of driving initiatives through to completion
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
Salary Range for this role:
$110,000 - $150,000 USD
