Position Overview: The Digital Hosting Domain Architect is a senior technical leadership role responsible for shaping, designing, and guiding enterprise hosting capabilities across cloud, on premises, compute, storage, virtualization, and hybrid infrastructure services. This role partners closely with IT teams, cybersecurity teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective hosting solutions that support global business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design end to end digital hosting architectures that meet global business requirements, including availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, scalability, performance, and operational supportability.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and guide selection of hosting technologies, platforms, and vendors across cloud, on premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop and maintain global technical standards, guidelines, reference architectures, and design patterns for hosting platforms and infrastructure services.
  • Oversee architecture alignment during implementation and integration of physical and virtual servers, storage platforms, SAN, NAS, object storage, cloud services, and related infrastructure components.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure hosting solutions comply with security policies, regulatory requirements, and enterprise risk expectations.
  • Lead capacity planning, performance optimization, lifecycle planning, and regular health assessments for hosting infrastructure.
  • Provide expert guidance for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to hosting systems and infrastructure services.
  • Mentor domain engineers and administrators by promoting architectural principles, engineering standards, and operational best practices.
  • Prepare clear documentation, reports, recommendations, and presentations for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving standards in cloud, compute, storage, virtualization, automation, and hybrid hosting.
  • Drive strategic hosting initiatives focused on modernization, reliability, operational excellence, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate across business, IT, operations, cybersecurity, and vendor organizations to ensure successful delivery of hosting solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong background in enterprise IT infrastructure, with at least three years of focused experience in hosting architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware or comparable enterprise virtualization platforms.
  • Hands on experience with enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, object storage, backup, archiving, and cloud storage services.
  • Strong understanding of public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including hybrid architecture patterns and integration approaches.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts related to hosting services, application connectivity, resiliency, and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to design solutions for large scale enterprise environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead cross functional technical initiatives and manage vendor relationships effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, or comparable infrastructure certifications.
  • Experience supporting global, highly available, mission critical hosting environments.
  • Experience driving infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, cost optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.

  • Collaboration: Work effectively across business, IT, cybersecurity, operations, and vendor teams to drive alignment and successful delivery.
  • Adaptability: Apply an agile mindset to changing business requirements, evolving technology capabilities, and emerging infrastructure patterns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion innovation, simplification, cost optimization, reliability, and operational excellence across digital hosting services.
