Servicing Transfers Coordinator at Valon
At Valon, every loan’s journey begins with a servicing transfer—and as a member of the Servicing Transfers team, you will own the onboarding and off-boarding of loans to and from Valon’s servicing platform. You’ll ensure Valon has access to the necessary data, documentation, and funds in order to service our loans and to keep all relevant stakeholders informed in a timely manner. You’ll also work closely with third-party service providers to support this mission-critical line of work.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Servicing Transfers Coordinator to onboard and off-board batches of loans and oversee any and all related processes. This person will collaborate with our Servicing Transfers Managers to coordinate the timely receipt of data, images, and other materials from prior servicers in order for us to board or deboard loans within required timeframes. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and pays keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between Valon and external servicers to manage the timely execution of transfer-related activities, including, but not limited to:
- Delivering data files.
- Delivering document images.
- Scheduling and leading weekly calls between internal and external transfer teams.
- Consolidating outbound questions and/or distributing inbound questions from or to the appropriate Valon department or team.
- Managing timely responses to questions from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and set up loan batches according to internal processes and procedures.
- Gain an understanding of common boarding file types in order to better create reports and field questions from affiliated teams.
- Complete data quality control and validation exercises.
- Support Servicing Transfers department-wide audit requests.
Minimum Qualifications
- Understanding of key mortgage servicing concepts and terminology, including, but not limited to, mortgage loan documentation and data fields.
- Previous experience with manipulating data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.

New York Base Compensation Pay Range
$55,000 - $70,000 USD
