INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROLS TECHNICIAN
(Instrumentation, Controls, PLC, HMI, Electrical)
You’ll support biologics pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, including predictive, corrective and preventative maintenance on GMP equipment and systems, including instrumentation, controls, HMI, PLC and electrical. Work could include instrument installation and calibration along with other related support such as loop checks, manifold installation and assisting with running sensing lines, signal wiring and conduit if needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration in the utility plant for GMP instrumentation and controls
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair instrumentation equipment in the manufacturing core and shops
- Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides repairs to electrical equipment
- Support and participate in electrical component and PLC system troubleshooting
- Execute predictive and preventive maintenance on GMP and non-GMP devices
- Complete GMP documentation to support PM activities for PLC control systems
- Maintain compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, and other state and federal regulations
- Preventative maintenance development and optimization of PLC control systems
- Complete maintenance and mechanic training
- Order basic supplies as needed
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience as a technician performing preventative maintenance on PLC instrumentation and controls
- Interest in assisting large biopharma organization with preventative maintenance in the utility plant for electrical, instrumentation, and controls
- Familiarity with electrical and electromechanical theory
- Willingness to learn new technical, HMI and electrical skills
- Electrical certification highly preferred.
