AVEVA (FORMERLY OSIsoft) PI CONSULTANT – REMOTE IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT
Location: Remote Type: Contract/Freelance
We are looking for a skilled Aveva PI Consultant to provide remote implementation support for integrating the PI data historian system. In this role, you will collaborate with our internal teams to ensure the successful deployment, configuration, and optimization of the PI platform. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring data integrity, availability, and accessibility for critical processes across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the existing systems, processes, and data sources to determine the optimal strategy for implementing Aveva PI data historian solutions.
- Design, plan, and execute the deployment of Aveva PI components, including data collection interfaces, asset framework, and visualization tools.
- Configure and customize the Aveva PI system to align with data management needs, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the implementation process, providing timely resolutions to minimize disruptions.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive documentation, training, and support resources for end-users and administrators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Aveva PI with other data systems, applications, and analytics platforms.
- Provide expertise in optimizing data collection, storage, and retrieval processes to enhance overall system performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience implementing and configuring Aveva (formerly OSIsoft) PI data historian solutions in complex environments.
- Strong understanding of data historian concepts, architecture, and best practices.
- Proficiency in PI components, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Interfaces, and PI Vision.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and customization tasks.
- Solid troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Relevant PI certifications (e.g., PI System Infrastructure Specialist) would be a plus.
- Previous experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
