OWNER'S AGENT - AUTOMATION AREA LEAD
We are seeking experienced owner’s representative professionals to support a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing site as an automation area lead. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to directly influence facility design criteria, automation strategy, and overall project delivery while representing the owner’s interests across engineering, integration, and construction partners. The Owner’s Representative will perform key owner-side functions, guide technical and execution standards, and oversee delivery by system integrators and engineering integration partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an Owner’s Representative supporting the design, execution, and delivery of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
- Develop and review design criteria, standards, and owner deliverables across project phases
- Interface with EPCs, system integrators, and EIPs to ensure scope, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met
- Provide oversight and technical leadership for automation, controls, and manufacturing systems
- Ensure compliance with GMP, validation, and regulatory expectations
- Support project governance, reporting, risk management, and decision-making on behalf of the owner
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in automation engineering
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting chemical unit operations
- Proven background in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of batch control systems in accordance with ISA-88 standards
- Demonstrated experience leading and delivering large, complex projects
- Experience working in GMP-regulated environments
- Hands-on experience with computer system validation (CSV)
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
